Angel Zhang is a jewelry designer and metalsmith whose work reflects a unique blend of cultural influence and technical precision. Originally from Namibia and now based in New Jersey and New York, she draws inspiration from the diverse landscapes and stories of her life’s journey. Her studies at Pratt Institute sharpened her approach to design, where she creates pieces that embody subtle, narrative-driven elements through the art of metalsmithing and silversmithing. Each of her designs tells a deeper story, conveyed through the interplay of form, texture, and material.
To further refine her skills, Angel completed the Jewelry Design and Technology program at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), gaining expertise in 3D modeling and expanding her knowledge of the jewelry industry. This technical foundation allows her to explore innovative designs while maintaining a commitment to craftsmanship and detail.
Angel believes in the continuous pursuit of learning, and this philosophy informs her artistic practice. She is dedicated to blending creativity and precision, whether through traditional techniques or modern technology, and strives to create jewelry that evokes both artistry and meaning. Her work invites viewers to engage with the subtle stories embedded in each design.
